Join the Board

YNPN San Diego is fiscally-sponsored by Volunteer San Diego and is led by an Advisory Board of emerging leaders (35 and younger) from the San Diego nonprofit community. We operate as much as possible like a legal Board of Directors and use the experience to develop our individual and organizational knowledge about outstanding leadership.

YNPN San Diego Board of Directors reviews applications in the spring and fall of every year. Board terms are for one year beginning in the spring (April) and the fall (October). If you are interested in joining the YNPN San Diego Advisory Board be prepared for an exciting ride and a lot of return on your investment.

How to Join

  1. Review the board member job description and assess if you have enough volunteer time to dedicate to our rapidly growing organization and community.
  2. Complete and submit your application.

  4. Attend a board meeting to see how our board operates and to ask questions of the board.
  5. Prospective board members will be notified within the last two weeks of March 2010 about their board application.
