Listserv

Everything you need to know about joining the listserv and managing your listserv subscription. You must be a YNPN San Diego member to join the listserv.  Please click here for the membership form - it's free!

Join the listserv and share ideas, resources, news, events and job announcements with hundreds of professionals throughout the San Diego nonprofit community.

The YNPN San Diego listserv is currently the most popular online networking tool we use.  You can become a member of YNPN San Diego by signing up for our listserv until our membership form is available.  You can unsubscribe at any time and the listserv is open to everyone in the San Diego nonprofit community.  PLEASE be sure to review the listserv policy BEFORE signing up for the listserv.

To Post a Message:

  1. Any subscribed list member can post to the entire list by simply sending it to ynpnsd@lists.ynpn.org
  2. Attachments can be sent to the listserv
  3. By replying to a posting, you will be responding to the author of the original email, not the entire list serv group.

Subscription Options:

  1. To modify your subscription options, log in to http://lists.ynpn.org/lists/lists
  2. For first time users: Retrieve a temporary password in the login page and then update your email through your “Preferences.”
  3. Enter your email and your password on the left-hand side of the screen.
  4. Click on the “Preferences” link to see a list of “Your Groups” on the left hand side of the page.
  5. Click on “ynpnsd”
  6. Click on “Subscribe Options”
  7. Next to “Receiving Mode” you will see a scroll down box.
    1. Digest MIME format: provides a daily email with headers at the beginning of the email for list serv postings.  You can click on the individual headings to open the posting.
    2. Digest Plain Text Format: this will list all the emails one after another in a daily email compiling all the list serv postings.
    3. Other options: There are a variety of options to try, but these are the two most popular.

To change your email address:

To change which email address receives mail from the YNPN SD list serv, follow these instructions:

  1. Log in to http://lists.ynpn.org/lists/lists
  2. Login using your email and password
  3. Click on Preferences
  4. Follow the “Change Your Email Address” instructions.

To change your password:

  1. Log in to http://lists.ynpn.org/lists/lists 
  2. Login using your email and password 
  3. Click on Preferences
  4. Follow the “Change Your Password” instructions.

To Unsubscribe:

  1. Sign into Electric Embers
  2. Select the "ynpnsd" list
  3. Click on "unsubscribe" (located under "Subscriber Options")
  4. Save Changes
