Mariel Berry, Advisory Board Co-Chair

Mariel Berry has nearly ten years of experience working and volunteering in the nonprofit sector. As a Washington, D.C. native, Mariel moved to San Diego almost four years ago for an Americorps Promise Fellow position at Volunteer San Diego. During her year of service, she coordinated new service opportunities for youth across San Diego County, and helped develop a service and leadership club model for youth groups across the nation. She is currently the Development Officer for Arts & Culture Initiatives at San Diego State University. She is an active volunteer at a variety of community organizations including, Girls on the Run, and is a board member for the San Diego Young Nonprofit Professionals Network. Mariel is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the Council for Advancement and Support of Secondary Education (CASE).

Mariel holds a B.A. in Art History from St. Mary's College of Maryland.
